I have a red brake light warning indication on the dash. The MC is filled and that isn't the issue and I have poked the float up and down, to no avail. As suggested in a previous post, I pulled the wire off the MC and with the handbrake down, the light goes out. Handbrake up, light goes on. Plug the wire back into the MC (with the handbrake down) and the light comes on. So the issue is not being caused by the handbrake. Next I ran a continuity check on the two terminals on the brake master cylinder and found continuity so it appears the problem may be with the float switch. Is there a replacement float switch available or will I need to replace the entire MC?
